ALL STAR CRICKET ACADEMY TERMS AND CONDITIONS Effective from: 1 September 2026 By registering with, booking a session through, making payment to, or participating in any programme offered by All Star Cricket Academy (“the Academy”), the player and/or parent/guardian confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions apply to all private coaching, group coaching, cricket clinics, holiday programmes, academy training, assessments, matches, camps and other cricket-related activities organised by the Academy. 1. BOOKINGS AND SESSION ARRANGEMENTS All coaching sessions must be booked or confirmed through the Academy or the coach allocated by the Academy. Session dates, times and venues are subject to coach and facility availability. Parents and players are responsible for ensuring that they are aware of their confirmed training dates, times and venues. Once a session has been confirmed, the allocated time is reserved for that player or group. Players should arrive on time and be ready to begin training at the scheduled starting time. Late arrival by a player does not automatically extend the session beyond the original finishing time. 2. PAYMENT All sessions and packages must be paid for in accordance with the payment instructions provided by the Academy. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment must be received before coaching sessions commence. The Academy reserves the right to withhold coaching services where payment is outstanding. When making payment, parents/guardians must use the following payment reference: PLAYER'S NAME AND SURNAME Parents/guardians are responsible for checking that payment is made to the correct Academy banking details. Proof of payment may be requested before a player participates. 3. TRAINING PACKAGES All coaching packages must be paid in full before the package begins, unless an alternative arrangement has been approved by the Academy. Package sessions must be booked in advance and remain subject to coach and venue availability. Unless otherwise agreed in writing: 4-Session Package – Valid for 1 month 6-Session Package – Valid for 1 month The validity period begins from the date of the player's first scheduled session. Packages are allocated to the registered player and may not be transferred to another player without prior approval from the Academy. Unused sessions remaining after the package expiry date may be forfeited unless an extension has been approved by the Academy. Extensions may be considered where sessions could not reasonably be completed because of weather, coach availability, facility closures, injury or other circumstances accepted by the Academy. 4. CANCELLATIONS The Academy operates a 24-hour cancellation policy. Parents or players must provide at least 24 hours' notice when cancelling or requesting to reschedule a session. Where sufficient notice is provided, the Academy will attempt to reschedule the session subject to coach and venue availability. Where a player cancels with less than 24 hours' notice or fails to attend a confirmed session, the session will normally: Be counted as completed and deducted from the player's package. For individually booked sessions, the session fee may remain payable and will generally not be refunded. Exceptions may be considered by the Academy in genuine emergencies or exceptional circumstances. Repeated late cancellations or non-attendance may result in the Academy reviewing the player's future bookings. 5. WEATHER CONDITIONS Cricket is an outdoor sport and training may be affected by rain, lightning, extreme weather, unsafe playing surfaces or other environmental conditions. The Academy and its coaches will determine whether conditions are safe and suitable for training. Parents should not automatically assume that training has been cancelled because of weather. Unless informed otherwise by the Academy or coach, players should regard the session as scheduled. Where the Academy cancels a session because of weather or unsafe conditions, reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule the session. A weather-related cancellation made by the Academy will not ordinarily result in the player losing the session from their package. Safety will always take priority over completing a session. 6. GROUP TRAINING Group training requires cooperation between all participating players, parents and coaches. Session dates and times must be agreed upon and confirmed in advance. Once a group session has been confirmed, the Academy has reserved the coach, venue and training time for that group. If one member of the group is unable to attend, this does not automatically cancel the session for the remaining players. Where the number of participating players changes, the applicable coaching rate may be adjusted according to the Academy's current pricing structure. Parents are responsible for communicating availability as early as reasonably possible. 7. COACH ALLOCATION The Academy reserves the right to allocate coaches according to player requirements, coach expertise, availability, location and programme structure. Where reasonably necessary, the Academy may substitute another suitable coach. Booking through All Star Cricket Academy constitutes a booking with the Academy, rather than a guarantee of permanent access to a particular coach. The Academy will nevertheless make reasonable efforts to provide coaching continuity. 8. VENUES AND FACILITIES Training venues may change according to availability, weather, facility requirements, competitions or operational circumstances. Players and parents must respect the rules of all schools, clubs, cricket grounds and facilities used by the Academy. Any venue-specific access, parking, security or conduct requirements must be followed. Facility or venue fees may apply where communicated to the parent/player. 9. PLAYER CONDUCT All Star Cricket Academy aims to provide a positive, disciplined and respectful cricket environment. Players are expected to: Respect coaches, teammates, opponents, officials and facilities. Follow reasonable coaching and safety instructions. Treat equipment responsibly. Demonstrate appropriate behaviour during training and matches. Avoid bullying, intimidation, abusive language or deliberately dangerous behaviour. The Academy reserves the right to remove a player temporarily or permanently from a session or programme where their behaviour creates a safety risk or seriously disrupts the coaching environment. 10. PARENT AND GUARDIAN CONDUCT Parents and guardians are expected to communicate respectfully with coaches, players, other parents and Academy representatives. Coaches must be allowed to conduct sessions without unnecessary interference. Questions or concerns regarding coaching, player development, payments or Academy operations should be raised directly and respectfully with the appropriate coach or Academy management. Abusive, threatening, discriminatory, intimidating or seriously inappropriate behaviour toward coaches, players or other parents will not be tolerated. The Academy reserves the right to review or terminate participation where serious or repeated misconduct occurs. 11. PLAYER DEVELOPMENT The Academy cannot guarantee specific performance outcomes, team selection, school selection, representative selection, runs, wickets or other competitive results. Cricket development requires consistent training, practice, application and time. Coaches will provide professional guidance and development appropriate to the player's needs, but progress will differ between individuals. The Academy's philosophy is based on: Strong fundamentals. Correct practice. Consistency. Confidence. Resilience. Trusting the process. 12. SAFETY AND PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT Cricket involves inherent physical risks. Players must follow all safety instructions provided by coaches. Where appropriate, players must use suitable protective equipment, including helmets, pads, gloves, abdominal protection and other equipment appropriate to the activity. Players must not deliberately participate with unsafe or damaged protective equipment. Coaches reserve the right to prevent a player from participating in an activity where appropriate safety equipment is unavailable. 13. MEDICAL CONDITIONS AND INJURIES Parents/guardians are responsible for informing the Academy of any relevant medical condition, injury, allergy, medication requirement or physical limitation that could reasonably affect a player's safe participation. Players should not participate where an injury or medical condition makes participation unsafe. The Academy and its coaches do not replace qualified medical professionals. Where an injury occurs during training, the coach may stop the player's participation and recommend medical assessment before the player returns. In an emergency, the Academy may take reasonable steps to obtain appropriate medical assistance. 14. PERSONAL EQUIPMENT Players are responsible for their own cricket equipment and personal belongings unless otherwise agreed. The Academy will take reasonable care when using player equipment but cannot accept responsibility for ordinary wear and tear. Players should clearly identify valuable equipment. Any Academy equipment provided during training must be treated responsibly and returned after use. 15. COMMUNICATION Official communication regarding sessions, cancellations, rescheduling and Academy matters may take place through WhatsApp, telephone, email or another communication platform used by the Academy. Parents/guardians are responsible for providing accurate contact information and checking Academy communications. Changes to training arrangements should be confirmed through the appropriate Academy communication channel. 16. PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO AND COACHING ANALYSIS The Academy may use video during coaching for technical analysis and player development. Where photographs or videos are intended for Academy marketing, advertising or social media, appropriate consent requirements will apply, particularly for junior players. Parents/guardians may raise any concerns regarding the use of their child's image with Academy management. 17. SAFEGUARDING The welfare and safety of junior players are important to All Star Cricket Academy. Coaches, parents and players are expected to maintain appropriate professional boundaries and behaviour. Any safeguarding concern should be reported promptly to Academy management. The Academy reserves the right to take immediate protective action where the welfare or safety of a child may be at risk. 18. MATCHES, TOURS, CLINICS AND SPECIAL EVENTS Separate costs, schedules, requirements or rules may apply to matches, tournaments, tours, holiday clinics, camps and special Academy programmes. Participation may depend on availability, age, programme requirements and player numbers. Where additional terms apply to a particular event, those requirements will be communicated before participation. 19. REFUNDS Payments are generally non-refundable once coaching services or a package have commenced, except where required by applicable law or where otherwise approved by the Academy. The Academy will consider legitimate refund requests according to the circumstances, including services the Academy is unable to provide. Sessions lost because of late cancellation or non-attendance are not normally eligible for a refund. 20. SUSPENSION OR TERMINATION OF SERVICES The Academy reserves the right to suspend or terminate coaching services in circumstances including: Continued non-payment. Repeated failure to comply with booking requirements. Serious or repeated misconduct. Abuse or harassment of coaches, players or parents. Behaviour that creates a safety or safeguarding concern. Serious breaches of these Terms and Conditions. Where appropriate, the Academy will attempt to address concerns before terminating services. 21. CHANGES TO PROGRAMMES, PRICING AND TERMS The Academy may update its coaching programmes, package structures, venues, schedules, pricing and Terms and Conditions from time to time. Where a material change affects an existing paid booking or package, the Academy will communicate the relevant change and apply it fairly and consistently, subject to applicable law. New pricing will generally apply to new bookings, renewals and packages unless otherwise communicated. 22. PRIVACY AND PLAYER INFORMATION Personal information provided to the Academy will be handled for legitimate Academy purposes such as registration, communication, payment administration, player development, safeguarding and programme management. The Academy will take reasonable steps to protect personal information and will handle it in accordance with applicable South African data-protection requirements. 23. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS By registering a player, purchasing a package, paying an invoice or allowing a player to participate in an Academy activity, the parent/guardian or adult player acknowledges that they have been provided with these Terms and Conditions and agree to comply with them. Parents and players are encouraged to ask for clarification before making payment if any condition is unclear. ALL STAR CRICKET ACADEMY Our Coaching Principles Understand the basics. Watch the ball. Trust yourself. Accept failure as part of the game. Work consistently and trust the process. Correct practice, repeated consistently over time, creates lasting improvement. These Terms and Conditions should be read together with any applicable registration forms, safeguarding policies, programme information, invoices and written agreements issued by All Star Cricket Academy.
